The Backdrop

Before joining our nationwide group, Carl worked exclusively in the residential sector. While fellow contractors in the commercial space enjoyed steady business, his work was largely limited to reroofing jobs and maintenance following storms. Even with these limitations, Carl stayed focused and leveraged everything we had to overcome obstacles. He continued to network and approach potential customers until he found his first big break.
Things Gear Up
After a month-long break, Carl went out on a cold call to a large commercial building near his home. By chance, the business owner was there, and Carl took the opportunity to present his company’s value proposition, as well as additional information about Choice Roof Contractor Group (which offered the building owner with group-wide accountability, a service guarantee, and second-to-none field knowledge). After the presentation, the business owner agreed to let Carl inspect the roof, and an hour later Carl had secured work on the 30,000 square foot structure.

The result was a substantial amount of work for Hometown Commercial Roofing, including a complete roof coating installation on the original building and additional work at the business owner’s other property.

To date, Carl has already secured four large projects with the firm, and he’s currently negotiating a number of other jobs that amount to more than a million square feet of roofing.
